Suggestions and measures to control noise exposure
General rule
In order to reduce the ship noise, to conform to or below the noise level requirements, should carefully consider the method of reducing noise. The suggestion is that this ship design provides guidance measures.
Noise control measures in the design and construction shall be in ship design to consider.
In the noise control measures, the anechoic material used should not cause fire or harmful to the health of the material, the material should be subject to legal inspection body accreditation.
The isolation of the noise sources
2.1, the living place position, in a horizontal or vertical direction shall be two may be far away from the noise source, such as a propeller and a propulsion device.
2.2, if practicable, engine casing should be arranged in the containing living area lies within the superstructure and deckhouse external. Otherwise, should be in the same cabin with accommodation is arranged between the channel.
2.3,, where practicable, accommodation should consider arranged on deck interior, and should not be arranged in the extending to the ship chord in superstructure, superstructure within each deck longitudinal bulkhead, accommodation spaces should be aligned to reduce vibration of continuous.
2.4, if appropriate, may also be considered in the idle place, toilet and washing of the accommodation and machinery spaces.
In 2.5, a place. For example, the machinery spaces were divided into noise ( often do not have one ) and less noise ( often someone ) place, is preferably complete isolation layer. The top of the deck, bulkhead and deck should be fitted with insulation material.
3, into the exhaust muffler
3.1, internal combustion engine exhaust systems, machinery spaces, accommodation and other places of air supply system arrangement should make the air inlet or outlet from the regular crew stay area.
In 3.2, for the accommodation of noise level is reduced to the minimum, the general must be from the engine casing, bulkhead, exhaust system and some piping and piping arrangement. As a specialized ventilation pipe and cable channel chamber.
In 4, the control of accommodation spaces
4.1, in order to reduce the noise level of the living spaces, may have to consider the deckhouse isolation, including these premises with elastic mounting method with other structural isolation. As in the deck of a floating floor floor.
4.2, may also be considered in the living premises, on the bulkhead, lining and ceiling with elastic joint and mounting floating floor or deck dressing thickening. The installation of liner steel bottom groove is in contact with the deck, in order to reduce the noise transmission.
4.3, for windows and side scuttles equipped with curtains, and within accommodation spaces use carpet, will help to absorb noise.
